I was asked to create a lettering based on the signature iron latticework that is spread all over older Australian suburbs in Melbourne and Sydney. These latticework is an architectural flourish that we could afford due to the boom of iron ore in that period which is why a lot of the Victorian terracehouses are full of these adorning their frontage. The brief asked that some lettering should look and feel like it comes out the latticework.
